New fireproofing panels for passive fire protection
FireSafe-900 Calcium Silicate Board
FireSafe-900 is a medium-density calcium silicate board composed of calcium silicate, cement, and specialty fibers. Compared to the FireSafe-Master board, FireSafe-900 contains a higher proportion of calcium silicate and less cement. This unique composition results in a lighter weight and improved fire resistance, making FireSafe-900 suitable for a wider range of applications.
The smooth, powder-free surface of FireSafe-900 can be used directly or decorated with paints, wallpapers, or tiles. It is easy to work with and can be finished using ordinary woodworking tools.
FireSafe-900: Versatile Calcium Silicate Fireproofing Panel
FireSafe-900 is a versatile calcium silicate fireproofing panel that combines density, thickness, mechanical strength, and fire resistance. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including fireproofing components in buildings and fireproofing structures in equipment. In some fire protection systems, FireSafe-900 can achieve a fire resistance limit of over 3 hours.

FireSafe-900 continues the dimensional versatility that characterizes the FireSafe range of panels. Its lighter mass and thicker dimensions provide industrial and architectural designers with more options for fire protection and functional design. The unique 30mm thickness allows for extended fire resistance in fire protection systems.
Fire Resistance
The FireSafe-900 sheet is an advanced non-combustible inorganic material with a combustion class rating of A1. When tested independently, the sheet itself achieves a fire resistance limit of 60 minutes. However, due to its composition, which includes a significant amount of hard calcium silica components, the FireSafe-900 sheet can be incorporated into systems designed to achieve fire resistance limits exceeding 3 hours, given a well-engineered system design.
Our extensive experience covers a wide range of applications, including fire dampers, fire doors, and fire-rated self-supporting ducts. FireSafe-900 provides robust protection, ensuring safety and compliance in critical fire safety systems.
High-Strength Performance for Your Critical Applications
Easy to Process Calcium Silicate Board
FireSafe-900 calcium silicate board offers stable mechanical properties and a wide range of thickness options. The use of large tonnage presses and extended curing times ensures a dust-free surface, making it extremely processing-friendly. FireSafe-900 can be easily processed using various power and hand tools, including table saws, band saws, reciprocating saws, jigsaws, drills, and multi-tools. Its versatility allows experienced woodworkers to handle the processing and assembly with ease.
Reliable Fireproof Board for Humid Environments
FireSafe-900 fireproof board boasts excellent resistance to wet environments, making it an ideal choice for humid and marine settings. Its diverse dimensions and stable performance make it suitable for various applications, including equipment protection, building fire protection, and even island furniture. With FireSafe-900 fireproof board, you can ensure reliable performance and durability in challenging conditions.
Insulation Performance
While the insulation performance of FireSafe-900 may not match that of FireSafe-500 or FireSafe-750, it still offers superior insulation compared to other fireproofing panels. As a versatile material that balances fireproofing and insulation, FireSafe-900 is an excellent choice for applications requiring reliable insulation alongside other functional properties.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have compiled the most frequently asked questions about our low density calcium silicate boards here for your convenience, but please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
A fire-rated board is a specialized type of board that can maintain its integrity, thermal insulation, and load-bearing function for a specific amount of time (usually 30 minutes and its multiples, such as 60, 90, 120, or 240 minutes) in a high-temperature environment of up to 1000°C. It is a crucial material in the design and installation of passive fire protection systems and fire partitions. Calcium silicate boards are the most commonly used type of fire-rated board due to their excellent fire resistance properties.
FRL stands for Fire Resistance Level. It refers to the ability of building components to withstand fire under test conditions for a specific period of time (usually 30 minutes and its multiples, such as 60, 90, 120, or 240 minutes). FRL is determined based on three key properties: structural integrity, thermal insulation, and load-bearing performance.
For example, an FRL of 240 minutes means that after 240 minutes of fire exposure, the building component must meet the standard acceptance criteria for all three properties. FRL is an essential factor to consider in passive fire protection design, ensuring that buildings can resist and contain fires, providing precious time for occupants to evacuate and for firefighters to control the blaze.
