Fire protection performance
FireSafe-Masterboard is a fully inorganic board made from a blend of cement and calcium silicate materials. It boasts a Class A1 non-combustible rating and offers a fire resistance limit of up to 60 minutes. Users can design and select FireSafe-Masterboard according to their specific fire resistance requirements, ensuring optimal protection.
Mechanical Properties of FireSafe-Masterboard
Thanks to the addition of special reinforcing fibers, FireSafe-Masterboard offers superior strength compared to other boards in its class. It features a flexural strength of over 5 MPa and a compressive strength of over 10 MPa. The board’s dense structure provides excellent riveting pull-out force, making it ideal for load-bearing and fire-resistant structural surfaces.
Precision Engineered for Easy and Safe Processing
Our boards are manufactured using over 10,000-ton presses and are fully cured in high-temperature reactors. The stable chemical structure of calcium silicate ensures that FireSafe-Masterboard is extremely easy to process. Conventional manual and electric tools can be used for cutting, drilling, sanding, and other operations. Additionally, our boards produce minimal dust and contain no asbestos, aluminum silicate, or other harmful additives, making the processing operations safe and friendly for workers.
Humidity resistance
FireSafe-Masterboard maintains excellent dimensional stability even in damp and humid conditions, allowing for early installation in the construction process before the building is weather-tight. It is also suitable for semi-exposed applications and can be left undecorated, providing flexibility and durability for various building needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have compiled the most frequently asked questions about our low density calcium silicate boards here for your convenience, but please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
A fire-rated board is a specialized type of board that can maintain its integrity, thermal insulation, and load-bearing function for a specific amount of time (usually 30 minutes and its multiples, such as 60, 90, 120, or 240 minutes) in a high-temperature environment of up to 1000°C. It is a crucial material in the design and installation of passive fire protection systems and fire partitions. Calcium silicate boards are the most commonly used type of fire-rated board due to their excellent fire resistance properties.
FRL stands for Fire Resistance Level. It refers to the ability of building components to withstand fire under test conditions for a specific period of time (usually 30 minutes and its multiples, such as 60, 90, 120, or 240 minutes). FRL is determined based on three key properties: structural integrity, thermal insulation, and load-bearing performance.
For example, an FRL of 240 minutes means that after 240 minutes of fire exposure, the building component must meet the standard acceptance criteria for all three properties. FRL is an essential factor to consider in passive fire protection design, ensuring that buildings can resist and contain fires, providing precious time for occupants to evacuate and for firefighters to control the blaze.
